me

My work (and life) is fueled by endless curiosity, a burning desire to explore the world, an unrelenting drive for creativity, and a little spark of madness.

And coffee. Lots of coffee.

My inspiration comes from traveling, nature, my wild-spirited little boy, and my beautiful, beachside city and its surrounding areas.

What I do

By day, I'm a Director of Product Design in the tech industry. I have a background in a wide range of product design and UX disciplines, including UX design, UI/visual design, research, content strategy, information architecture, and UX writing.

I earned a Master's degree (MFA) in merchandising (product development, design and e-commerce), and I used my grad school experience to refine my business acumen, research skills, and design skills (it's an MFA, after all). I also have an undergraduate degree in journalism and visual communication (and enough credits for an unofficial minor in musical theatre/vocal performance).

I’m also continually learning, and completed an illustration certificate program in 2021, and am always taking a class about something related to art or design so I can stay up-to-date in the field and expand my skillset. My current area of interest is exploring the intersection of creative wellness, plant-based culinary arts, art/design, and tech.

By evening and weekend (or whenever I can find a free minute), you can find me doing lots of things.

My hobbies include running, paddle boarding, yoga, barre, riding bike, the great outdoors, painting, drawing, crafting, making jewelry, taking pictures (often volunteering as a photographer at pet rescues and shelters), and experimenting with plant-based cooking.

My family and I live by the beach in Charleston, South Carolina but are currently planning our next big move to Melbourne, Australia.

Life is good.
