My work is fueled by empathy, endless curiosity, a burning desire to explore the world, an unrelenting drive for creativity, and a little spark of madness.
And coffee. Lots of coffee.
My inspiration comes from logging lots of running miles (road, trail or beach), paddling on the water, my wild-spirited little boy, and my beautiful, beachside city.
What I do
By day, I'm a product strategist, UX designer and researcher, and I have a background in marketing, branding, content strategy, and interaction and visual design.
I've also got a Master's degree (MFA) in merchandising (product development, design and e-commerce), and I used my grad school experience to refine my market, product, and user research skills as well as my design skills (it's an MFA, after all!).
As you can tell, I do some things beyond my day job, including UX consulting for companies and career-seekers, creative services for small to mid-sized businesses (including start-ups), jewelry design, blogging, and photography (mostly pet and rescue work).
And if you’re curious, you can learn more about those businesses (and their names).
By evening and weekend (or when I can find a free minute - ha!), you can find me running, paddle boarding, going to yoga, barre, or Orangetheory classes, riding my bike, chilling at the beach, creating art, taking pictures, ruining (i.e., not following) recipes in the kitchen, and taking classes.
And of course, I spend a lot of time with my husband, our sweet spunky little boy, and four crazy fur kids.
Our family circus lives at the beach and loves the coastal life in Charleston, South Carolina.
Life is good.
