This is me.
My work is fueled by empathy, endless curiosity, a burning desire to explore the world, an unrelenting drive for creativity, and a little spark of madness.
And coffee. Lots of coffee.
I've also got a Master's degree (MFA) in merchandising (product development, design and e-commerce), and I used my grad school experience to refine my market and user research skills as well as my design skills (it's an MFA, after all!).
I love what I do!
As you can tell, I do some things beyond my day job, including UX consulting for companies and career-seekers, creative services for small to mid-sized businesses (including start-ups), jewelry design, blogging and product design, and photography (mostly pet and rescue work). You can learn more about those businesses (and their names) here.
My inspiration comes from logging lots of running miles (road, trail or beach), paddling on the water, a wild-spirited little boy, and my beautiful, beachside city.
By evening and weekend, you can find me running, paddleboarding, doing yoga or barre, riding my bike, designing jewelry, creating art, taking pictures of homeless animals to help find them forever homes, ruining (i.e., not following) recipes in the kitchen, taking classes, running my design companies, and blogging (usually about running).
And of course, I spent a lot of time with my husband, our sweet little boy, and four crazy fur kids. Our family circus lives at the beach in Charleston, South Carolina.
